Zairmail's targeted advertising comes in the form of a one-page insert that accompanies each Zairmail letter. After composing a message at the Zairmail www.zairmail.com web site, the sender can select a recipient by typing the name and address directly or selecting it from their personalized address book. For each new recipient the sender also designates their personal interests from a list of interest categories.
Once a recipient has been selected, Zairmail will search a demographic database to secure a detailed profile of the receiver. This profile is then matched against an advertiser's pre-selected demographics and the ads are integrated to meet both the advertiser's criteria, as well as the demographics and personal interests of the recipient. The sender can even preview the ads selected to help ensure they are appropriate for the recipient.
