Zairmail and the United States Postal Service Join to Educate Small Business on the Benefits of Direct Mail

PORTLAND, Ore.--April 9, 2002--The United States Postal Service is making “Direct Mail Easy” in 2002 for small and mid-sized businesses through an instructional series of seminars in cities around the U.S. Created through a joint effort with Zairmail, an Internet direct mail specialist, small and mid-sized businesses will receive instruction in how to achieve the proven response rate of direct mail delivered at the speed of the Internet.

”It is great to have small business mailing experts like Zairmail lending their expertise to our seminar program,” said Marty Emery, Manager of Product Marketing for the United States Postal Service.“Zairmail was asked to teach part of the seminars because they lead the Internet-based Direct Mail space making direct marketing more easily accessible to small and medium-sized businesses.”A total of seventy-five seminars will offer attendees the opportunity to learn how to use and create procuring lists, the ins and outs of printing and lettershop operations, how to build out concept/copy development, and the complete process of mail preparation.

These seminars are a prime example of what Zairmail is seeking to do for businesses that are trying to get their messages out," said Wilson Zehr, CEO of Zairmail. “We are pleased to be working with the United States Postal Service again on this endeavor and will continue to participate in opportunities to help educate the direct mail industry for years to come," Zehr added.

“Direct Mail Made Easy” seminars are led by Jerry Heisler of the Heisler Group, a leading authority on direct mail marketing has over 40 years of direct marketing experience and is an active member of the Zairmail Advisory Board. “Businesses are forever searching for more effective and cost efficient ways to get their messages out and to get them out to the appropriate audience and these seminars are designed to inform business of the options that are available to suit their every marketing and messaging need." said Heisler.
