Zairmail Delivers Real Mail to Your Valentine While Still Providing You with the Convenience of the Internet

PORTLAND, Ore. - Feb. 5, 2001 - Why send your Valentine an ordinary email or electronic greeting when you can send a real letter just as easily? This Valentine’s Day, you can use the Zairmail service (http://www.zairmail.com) to write free personal letters to your friends and loved ones. It’s perfect for the aspiring Romeo or Juliet in everybody.

Zairmail, Inc., the first company to facilitate the convergence between the Internet and postal mail, offers a fast, convenient and even free way to send personal letters. As a tasteful alternative to traditional electronic greetings, you can choose from four colorful Valentine-themed stationeries, browse our collection of original and classic love poetry, and automatically insert a poem into your letter. Zairmail letters are free if you choose to include a separate page of special offers and promotions. If you prefer no promotions, each letter costs $1.00 or less. Letters can be up to three pages in length, if you need a lot of space to tell your loved one how much you care. If you have more than one Valentine, you can store information for each one, allowing you to send the same letter to multiple people.

"There is something special about receiving that Valentine’s greeting in the mail. Your valentine can treasure your keepsake Zairmail letter forever and that is something that can’t be done with an electronic greeting," said Wilson Zehr, CEO of Zairmail. "In addition, letters come with a special gift -- attractive offers from advertisers, targeted to the demographics and personal interests of the letter recipient."

How It Works

Zairmail connects online and offline consumers while eliminating the time consuming tasks associated with sending traditional postal mail.Zairmail helps make sending a letter as easy as sending an email. This process is as simple as:

  • Log on to www.zairmail.com
  • Compose your personal letter online
  • Select recipients from your address book
  • Press send
Once a consumer presses send, Zairmail will route this message to a print production facility closest to the recipient, where a personal letter is printed on high-speed digital printing equipment, addressed and inserted into an envelope. The U.S. Postal Service then distributes the letter by first-class mail for two-day delivery anywhere in the country, or for overnight delivery in supported markets.

The letter can be sent for free if the sender chooses to include useful product information from national advertisers. These offers will be selected in part by the sender to ensure the maximum value for the recipient. The sender can even preview the ads before sending.

If a sender prefers not to include a customized ad page, each letter will cost the consumer between $.65 and a $1.00 depending on the number of letters purchased. This cost includes first class postage.,br>
